Refurbishment and extension to a Grade 2 listed house, Henley-on-Thames
The original house had been allowed to fall into disrepair, and in addition, numerous small structural alterations over its life had cumulatively resulted in a roof structure which needed major intervention to make it safe.
The original timber-framed house was very carefully restored and refurbished, with new structure inserted, and sensitive alterations incorporated in order to create a luxury family home in a prestigious location.
Two single-storey extensions have also been added to the property; one of which forms a modest contemporary glass and zinc “jewel box” providing a family living space looking over the Thames.
